Hello from Texas,

My name is Ron Ringstaff.  I am a professional firefighter-Engineer/Paramedic
for Local 571 Galveston Texas.  The reason for my message is to send a long
overdue thanks to the members of local 1522.  I visited Headquaters station on
my honeymoon last July while on a Royal Carribean Cruiseline vacation with my
new wife.  I was met by the person that turned out to be President of the Union
if my memory serves correctly.  My wife and I were asked in to see the station
and trucks which was wonderful.  The visit was great and the hospitality second
to none!!  To hear the anouncement to the crew, on shift that day, "hey
guys he's on the job"! was a memory I will never forget.  To go to such
a far away firehouse and be welcomed in for a visit and talk was outstanding.  I
thank you so much and apologize for taking so long in sending this message.  I
am still happily married, thankfully, and awaiting surgery for an injury
sustained in a house fire on November 13, 2008.  I've been off since then
and truly miss the job.  Thank you all again from a greatful brother
